57.75 and 57.09 last year - took half a second off that on my first practice this year and 1.7 seconds better on my best run.

Car has much better torque and I now need to re-learn how to drive it as I just spin the wheels if I put my foot flat too early as I could with the CVH.
That’s awesome

Maybe go back to a higher diff, we had to with the 24v Coupe (see comments in your build thread)

I think I might need that 0.8 lead over Andy - I suspect it’s going to be close between us..

Well done Jim!

well done all. Did the rules change this year to only 1 practice run and if so do they give you extra timed runs ?

Have to echo that it was a great day good racing and good company.
Prescott as always put on a good show and to be fair the organisation was better than it has been some years!
A little disappointing with my performance but I just need a heavier right foot!
Jim put in a very consistent performance.
Phil and Andy both showed improvement across the day. It will be interesting to watch the competition between these two in the same car!
Interestingly comparing the results with the other Classic Marques entrants Jim had similar times to Stuart Maclean in his Porsche 924 his best being 55.39.

I was talking to Stuart in the trailer park - he’ll be at Harewood next weekend too (his local hill I think?)

Interestingly, he was consistently quicker than me, gaining a few hundredths at each timing post, all the way up to the midpoint - where he lost his 0.2-0.5 sec advantage through the esses and semi circle.
