Hopefully it’ll be dry in September :?

On FB today:

Hi everyone. We have good news and not so good news I'm afraid.
Firstly, a huge thank you to all those who came down to the hill last Saturday, and helped with the great 'wake up Wiscombe' clean up day. Everyone did a tremendous job, and left the hill looking in fantastic shape. Scatter a few straw bales at the bases of some trees, tie in a few tyre stacks here and there and position the safety barrier at 'Bunnies' and 'Martini', and suddenly you have something looking in good shape for some race action. You really are all stars.
The WIMPS haven't stopped however. I can't ever remember the start of season being so intense, and a group of us were there again today, and will be this Saturday. This however is probably going to be crunch day. We will make a call as to whether the first event will go ahead. Believe us, we desperately want it to, and will do everything possible to make it run, but ground conditions may get the better of us. We just need several days of heat and breeze on the ground, but any more rain may beat us.
Please keep everything crossed for us, keep an eye on our media sites and spread the word. AN UPDATE WILL BE MADE ON SATURDAY. Thanks everyone

Anyone who has been to wiscombe will sympathise with this. It is a great hill, but can be a nightmare in bad weather. I have seen parked cars sliding on the mud in the paddock. I am sure they will move mountains to get the event going, but compies need to be well prepared for the conditions

Perhaps not a surprise given the weather we have had, but hopefully a lot better by september

Now that's a great hill!😎 only place I've EVER seen Trevor have the shakes  his leg was going like Elvis on speed at the top of the hill by the ticker tape machine! If you like adrenaline by the litre, this is a must!
