I remember Ben camping some years ago. Should not be a problem. You would need to check but I expect their catering would be open Sat eve. It is a bit isolated so check distance to any hotel or B&B

I have stayed on site
Someone came round asking for a small fee
Also I recall a bed and breakfast/pub not too far away

Phil RR will have local pub B&B details as he's stayed there in the past, good grub too.

Camping on site inc free showers, as Coupe says small cost to camp

Yeah will dig out details. Far more appealing than the pitched in the field looked.

We’ve camped there too, I just pinged a note to the organisers before hand.

Not sure what we’ll do this year.

We stayed at The Queen's Head in 2016.

Nice and reasonably priced I thought, worth it to see your fellow compies look on longingly at the end of the night when you part ways in the pub and they head back to a damp cold field

Oh I don’t know about that .
We used to pitch a tent or sleep in the car and have a good drink in the field and not worry about the drive

Has anyone had any confirmation of their entry being accepted etc? I entered online and besides the 2 automated emails saying thank you for your order and your money, I've not had anything else.

Me neither. I did get an email from the entry secretary early on though, saying he looked forward to seeing me there as it’s my first event.

Finals usually arrive about 10 days before an event

Couple of questions for my first event:

What time do people get there in the morning of the event? ish. I will book a B&B as I'm not sure about camping in April but some are closer than others. I presume that I can drop the car off there the night before?

I am also planning on bringing my son (11), is it ok for him to hang around in the paddock on his own whilst I am on a run or due to his age will that be frowned upon? He is a quiet sensible lad who has been to many events with me as a spectator so I trust him 100% not to clown around.

Does anyone else take family with them?
