Looks like you got the weather, how’s it going? Can’t find any live timings.

Not really Nick.

First practice was a convoy run at 11.30 due to fog. First practice wet and 2 dry timed runs.

Josh was 3rd on CM handicap with a 49.30 and will take SSSC 25 points.

Times and maybe a bit of in car video later.

Mist early on delayed proceedings. We did a parade lap in the damp just before lunch, then went into a damp timed practice and two dry timed runs.

Richard didn’t do a timed run due to an electrical gremlin cutting everything :( Andy and I improved enormously over the day, Nick and Steve seemed happy and Josh wasted the lot of us :D in fact he came third overall (CM) on handicap.

Some in car video. Not a faster dry run I'm afraid. The camera battery dies for T2 and for some reason I don't have T1 from either myself or Josh  :?

Track was very slippery for P2 and I was determined not to put it into the barriers so a pretty tentative time of 60 odd seconds

Not Happy  Time was crap. Should be 3 seconds quicker. Hopefully will learn/improve for next event.. Good to see everyone, sorry Richard had a problem. Very impressed by some of the CM compies, well prepared and quick. Raised the bar for some of us.

I'm not happy either Nick. Should have been low 53's or even into the 52's for me.

I agree there are some very competent drivers in CM and the numbers competing means that if you have a below par day your points really suffer.

I guess that's what make you quicker though; the increased competition :!:

Congratulations to all the compies for overcoming the weather! Good to meet a couple of you too. I thought the commentator was a little cruel in describing the SS! as an "ugly little thing" but Josh wiped the sneer off many peoples' faces. :)

Shame it was wet most of the weekend as it's now dry and mild here (just over the hill, like me!). It was still a good event though and it's always good to see people pushing their cars to the limit despite the conditions. Some interesting static displays and the Chiron was impressive albeit a little sterile compared to some of the cars worth a fraction of it's cost.

Still not too sure about the competition heritage of the bog-standard, four-door Fiat Panda though. Ironically the commentator thought it was " a cute little thing". :P
