I'm with you on that one Craig.

Needs must. No Loton for us this year due to a wedding and Croft abandonment means we have to do Prescott.

As you say a good hill but a poor site.

I'm already dreading trying to leave on Saturday. Last time those entering Sunday only arrived early and made it difficult to leave the site. Don't they realise there's a football match on :!:

Rant over too. I'll have to take one of Peter's chill pills or I risk a ban

One of the reasons I stopped competing for a couple of years was the attitude of some organisers. I had problems at Prescott, Loton and Shelsley. See the pattern? Smaller clubs at Aintree, Combe, Good wood etc. could not be more helpful. The reality is the popular venues can get away with it. Put up or shut up I'm afraid.

Just noticed this which is on the first page of the final instructions
WRISTBANDS (light Blue), WILL BE ISSUED AT SIGN ON, wristband must be worn
at all times by Competitors and Mechanics and these tickets are not
transferable, MECHANICS must sign-on to obtain a start line wristband to enable
them to escort a car to the start line.
Be interesting to see how tight it is enforced

Yes,

I wondered about that. What time are people getting there? I anticipate 730 ish with a walk of the hill then sign on. I doubt we will get scrutineered before 930 and run 10 ish.At least we are not last!

PS Where I (and hopefully you) are parked is a good spot near the track. It sounds like they are trying to crack down on trailers in the paddock. In practice this makes sense, like Shelsley.

We are in Zone E next to the Scrutineers Hut. CM seem to be spread all over the paddock :?

We have previously parked trailer and I think tow car at the top in Zone K but that seems to be fully allocated to cars.

Last time I thought we unloaded the car in the trailer field and drove it to the paddock; but Josh disagree's :)

Last year I unloaded the trailer in the paddock and then parked in the trailer park. Due to the general congestion at the end of the meeting I drove the SS1 to the trailer park and loaded up there. Last year both trailer parks were boggy (well one was a swamp!) should not be so much of an issue this year but we have just had rater a lot of rain! The trailer parks were ploughed fields and you are crossing a public road.

Rained here last night and most of the morning - it’s supposed to be clear tomorrow but that’s what they said about today, yesterday :D

The current forecast suggests a small chance of rain tomorrow. I'm putting the wet tyres in the car in the hope that I then wont need them

Raining now and risk of showers on Sat. Likely to be damp in Esses at least to start with. Grass parking areas also like to be slippy, as may be the trailer paddock.
