Nor mine; I have emailed the Entries Sec. I seem to remember they were very last minute last year too

I have forwarded the details I received by email to all competitors and asked to change to group 19 but I suspect a paddock move is too late. I had to chase to get my entry. What time are people planning to get there?
Steve I will reply to your pm tomorrow.

Not received mine by post or email...Weird.

Yes might be too late for a change now.

We normally arrive early to make unloading easier probably around 7

PS

No Trevor in Aldon class?
Will only manage 6 events at best - one reason for the change this season as I can cover it in 4 weekends. Are you coming out Nick?

Hope the weather holds for all......

I only ride 'em - I dunno what makes them work

Had a reply from the entries Sec; final instructions were emailed on 2nd April but she is aware that there was a problem from the number of people querying it with her.

Oh well thanks to Peter we are sorted.

See you Monday bright and early

Steve O,

Thanks for offer of ticket. However, something has come up and I will not make it to Loton.

Wet and drizzly practice at Loton, luckily the new compies Gazebo helped keep spirits up.

Image

Myself and eldest son Finn popped along to show support for Josh Oakes, Steve Oakes, Steve Cork (supported by two sons as pit crew), newbie Peter Smith in his new shiny red SS1 Ti and John Louch in his martini liveried GTE although Johns no longer competing with the SSSC Championship but has moved to the Paul Matty championship for classic cars, but it was a round of their championship too. Everyone was struggling with the Wet, some single seaters seemed to be cornering at walking pace! The Oakes ss1 looked pretty evil with front locking for Josh especially.

Image

Steve Cork and Steve Oakes were close in handicap during practice with Steve O going a little better before we left after run 3.

Image

After it dried over lunch Josh was looking perturbed with his car, I noticed the bump stops were touching the wishbone at rest so he chopped the bump stops in half ( required for powered cars. Steve also noticed the brake bias bar was rubbing the bulkhead plate. Whilst it could be adjusted one of the threaded rods was too long so wouldn't allow

Enough adjustment, but a little more rearward bias was dialled in for run 3. Unfortunately Josh and I had tried to work out which way the bias bar needs to go, meaning the front locking got worse! Sorry Josh! Meaning he locked up at Hall and ran wide. As we left they were returning the bias bar back to the mornings setting, fingers crossed that whilst still not great the fact the front suspension now moved! would allow the car to offer a little confidence for run 4.
John Louch managed a near PB in less than perfect conditions so was chuffed, must be as son Steve was in Tenerife and hadn't buggered the gearbox!
Good to catch up with everyone, special congrats to Peter Smith whos baptism of fire at a difficult hill in awful conditions seemed to be taken in his stride--nice one Peter! A few more events and I'm sure the times will plummet as the confidence builds, car looked great and even more balanced on the sticky rubber 8)
