Have you bought one Steve as it does not have Lambosport written on it?

Steve C
good pic that, assume its entering first part of Rocket bend, the left hander at top of the hill?

car looks very composed at the front, mega high speed into very heavy braking area. Rear looks less so, its jacking on the suspension, is suspect if a shot were also taken from the NS rear, that tyre would be so lightly loaded and that corner raised enough to be positive camber. the drivers side rear is also jacked, but to a lesser extent, due to the weight starting to transfer as you turn in. The drivers side rear also looks a tad positive in camber

Some axle check straps or shorter dampers would help there, or try a tad more damping to reduce the speed at which the rear rises under braking.

Cracking pic though

Cheers Craig. I actually remember seeing the photographer at the top of Rocket. I had a couple of massive lock ups on the first couple of runs, as I was just trying to take the left hander at the top of the hill too quickly, which of course cocks everything up for the next series of corners. Later attempts were a bit more successful as I didn't lock up and scrubbed speed off earlier. Trevor had given Steve O and myself a bit of pep talk on how it should be done. Sunday was even more successful, despite the higher speeds coming from the long straight of the International. Time in the seat is a great thing, and there doesn't seem to be an event that gives you more than the Ty Croes weekend.

You're right about the damping. I was playing with it a bit over the weekend. The springs at the front are your old beefy ones and the rears are quite a bit softer. I started off with equal clicks of the dampers front to rear. I softened the fronts, which killed the understeer I was getting initially, but I didn't mess too much with the rears (only adding a couple of clicks). Maybe I should add a few more for Aintree and see how it performs. The learning curve is very steep :dh

Steve O, no I haven't ordered the photo. Surprisingly that one didn't have the branding on it. I have emailed the photographer to ask if I can order a CD of photos of all four of the Scims. I'll let you know what comes of it.

Hi Steve C
Just an observation but I think your car would benefit from corner weight set up
Cheers John

Thanks John, I'm sure you're right.

I had weighed up buying the tool. Is it best left to the pros though ?

That sounds like a very good idea John. Can we have a chat at Aintree ?

I've just received a zip file of all the Scim photos. I've forwarded on to Josh (I didn't have your email address Steve), Brian and Trevor.

There are some cracking pics :D

Are those photos available for use in Slice (copyright etc)? If so, I'm sure Terry would like some for stock....and to go with the writeup!
