Paul,

IMHO the key to success ( apart from the obvious-being able to drive-but you have that) in both our and the Inter Marques is being to effectively use all the power you have. This presumes a decent level of grip and handling.
Trevor has a well sorted and balanced package. this was true of Steve Louch last year (and I expect this year), and to a reasonable extent my old car. the Keyser boys showed how well a low powered car can go at Curbs last year. Chris Eades had too much power to use in his SS1 last year, I think Steve C will go better this year with less grunt.

Trevor (and the Carters ) show how much better balanced the Scims are than TVR's generally.

Cheers Steve.

I still haven't sorted the video. Not had chance yet. I'll try and find some time later.

Just for Mr. Oakes :-

scimitarcars.org.uk wrote:Here's some of my on-board from Ty Croes.

The first clip is my 3rd run of the double lapper. It all looks a bit scrappy if I'm honest (it is only the 2nd time I've driven the car in this guise, excuse no.1), but by day two (2nd clip) I was getting a lot smoother and finding better lines, and most importantly faster. Unfortunately I don't have clips of my two best runs (excuse no.2), as they were the two when I failed to start the camera

The observant who know their way round a 130mph SS1 speedo will spot the approximate top speeds :D

Edit :-

Heres the single lapper on the International Circuit.

Cheers Steve.

Lines don't look vastly different. You are wider on the exit of the hairpins and braking is later than in the Sabre.

You just don't get the feeling of speed watching the videos though

Not received a PM Brian, is it in your outbox ?

I've sent the write up to Terry, so if you both can send me some photos I'll plonk them in the Dropbox that Terry and I used to use when I was GTC Reg'.

My email is steve at scimitarcars.org.uk . I've not used the @ symbol or the address will get picked up by bots and I'll be spammed senseless. Ooooh errr missus .
