Re: Gurston Down
Scariest "hillclimb" per corner in the world!
The start is downhill and the single seaters get into top gear at 130 mph before the first corner (the unnamed left hander before Karousel - it doesn't look like a corner but it is!)
I braked at 60+ the first time, let off on subsequent runs but never took it flat even in a standard GTE! This is what happens if it goes Pete tong :

Edit - not working, Craig - if you find that vid of Don taking a short cut to Salisbury, please send me the link
You change to uphill before Karousel (which has a double kink) and you can't see where the road goes because it's a proper mountain hairpin over your right shoulder somewhere, then it's balls out up to the finish line

Re: Gurston Down
the only hill where I get out of the car at the end of the run and my hands are shaking - 30 seconds adrenalin rush
Some one once said you could hold your breath at the start line and exhale across the finishing line

Re: Gurston Down
Took it flat in black beast every time but kept messing up the next double right hander as carrying too much speed!! Awesome hill. Don't fancy it in JKL
