air filter lid clips

Post by peter freeman » Tue Jun 20, 2017 5:34 pm

I am two of these short - been missing since I bought the car and the only ones I can find are in the USA and cost £14 - no joke. I can use cable ties or make some myself for pennies but to save me the hassle does anyone know where these can be acquired in the uk - must be fitted to some other Ford model methinks.

If you can post a pic with rough dimensions, I have a mid-90s fiesta air box that I was going to throw away but recently robbed two clips for a rover K series air box (perfect fit).

I think the originals are mk3 grandad/sierra items - couple on eBay.

On ebay they only have the complete filter boxes as far as I can see but the latches look the same as the one on the MB. This is what I'm after ( two off ) - all else failing I will buy and adapt something else after the international - nothing really spoiling.

They look pretty generic - I'll measure some up at the weekend.
