Under-bonnet light cover

Post by woomera » Wed Jan 04, 2017 4:46 pm

Hi all,

The under-bonnet light, a sort of flattened clear plastic dome - anyone know what alterparts bin these originally came from? I'm guessing they're a standard component of something or other. Or alternatively does anyone have a spare...?

There appears to be more than one kind fitted to the MB - looking at the parts it just looks like a lamp holder held in position by a U bracket - not like your description at all. I have a 6A bonnet fitted to my MB and the MB bonnet is hanging in the garage roof so I cannot look at it without a lot of work.

If yours is anything like the one on MB46 then it looks like this? If so it is a MK2 Golf/Jetta number plate lamp.
