Trains and Planes...

Post by 747PETE » Mon Dec 12, 2016 8:45 pm

A few snaps every now and then of trains and planes.."retirement" thats a contradiction in terms :D finds me working on a special aeroplane and some heavy metal powered by steam :D so to start,a snap from last Thursday evening as we were finishing work, the Black 5 is not moving off, just a little blast for y.t as the diesel trunndled past......compression via Photobucket does it no favours though

the chap that introduced me to the idea of moving to S.Africa had a large painting on his wall of a Lancaster bomber, why the interest in the bomber i asked. he had the painting done from a photo of the plane that was taken just after the war, he wanted a painting of the plane that he spent so many hours in as a rear or tail gunner. and we complain of our jobs today.

No chance!

The lads tell me it's gross! Made by the crowd that do Big Brother or Chucked out o' the Jungle or summut like that. I'm told that after the fitters discovered the culture of the film company, they openly took the p*ss out of 'em so we'll see what was salvaged for publication!

That reminds me so much of some of the film crews we had when we looked after the very, very fast white airliner with the pointy nose.....some of them just did not have a clue.Media lasses walking on the wing in high heel shoes.....we soon told them what we thought of them!
