Factory pictures

Post by scimjim » Wed Jul 01, 2015 8:22 pm

I was going to start a thread of cars outside the old factory premises when Mark posted this

Image

But thought that would be fairly limited!

So the topic title is "factory pictures" - I appreciate that it may overlap the "period pictures" thread but this is ONLY factory shots - then or now.

Does this count?
I think this was taken outside Ogles premises but its heading off to Reliants factory

Image
Edit; either way its leaving Ogle or arriving at Reliant. Perhaps someone who recognises the factory can confirm?

From another thread (originally from Dave Poole's site obviously)

I'm not going to copy all of Dave's factory pics - they're here for your perusal

The building behind looks to me like the Midland Bank? Whether that helps I don't know. The Ogle HQ is still in the same place it was back in 1960 - this is what it looks like today:

Following on from that, stepping into our time machine, here is Ogle in 1980 - complete with staff, Tom Karen 3rd left, front row (not to mention, a sample of one of the company's products :) )

and here it is in 1960:

Looks like we need some "local knowledge" to get to the bottom of this one as I've no idea where the Midland bank was in relation to either place.
