RCE I4IN

Post by Scimfancier » Sun Aug 04, 2013 9:57 pm

Bought my Daughter a new camera for her 14th birthday, which was the other day...and after a bit of snapping around the house and garden taking pictures of the dog and cat, she showed me this one she'd taken of the new Scim.. :)

Thank you the kind comments fella's... :) for her first attempt at photo'ing a Scim I think she's captured the handsome lines of the 5a beautifully.

Kev, I don't know about the silencers as they were fitted when I got it, but i'll be taking her to Curbs, so you'll maybe be able to identify them there, if you're going..

New tyres fitted today. After a lot of deciding went for the original size.

Took some getting hold of, and big bucks but I like the look, thought a photo might be in order...

Very nice - I like the original size. The cars look lithe...(without the Carlos Fandango look... :w ) The steering is easier with less stress on ageing suspension components & the arches are nicely filled. Trip meters/odometers/speedos are more accurate....
It's strange, now, in the age of wide 'elastic-band' tyres to recall in the original sales blurb that quite a big thing was made out of the 'wide' tyres/wheels that gave increased roadholding....

Jim, email sent..

Scimher, I agree, and I think this particular car needs to be kept original right down to the tyre size. The 80 profile tyre give the car a nice refined feel to it too.. :)

Might be the last drive out a while, roads were a bit dicey. Back home and it was nearly dark. Time for a few months hibernation I think..
