Barbara, myself and a crowd of our friends saw him live in 1973 at the Romford Odeon. Bloody hell that was 43 years ago! Really feel old now.

He won't be forgotten that's for sure and Roy Harper will never get the leather jacket he loaned to him back in the 60's.

Huge loss, irreplaceable talent.

Saw him a couple of times at the Croydon Greyhound in the early Seventies. Great performances.

Iconic artist
The only one relevant in the seventies who kept being relevant in the eighties up to now.

Heroes never die, according to Bryan Josh ...
but we are losing a lot of great british musicians lately.
My respects, David.

It was nice driving home from the Wiltshire Noggin (1st attendance, and a very personable bunch) last night, listening to a David Bowie concert on Radio 2. It was a more recent concert (2002?) to a small, appreciative audience. To listen to his chat and jokes during his session, you could really tell that he was at ease and really enjoying himself.

Cheers

Steve

Legend in his own lifetime, his music will be with us for many many years, his way of reinventing himself many times is only a small part of the guys huge talent

A little bit of me died with him, but I still have the memories.
Good bye David, you'll be missed.
