It's funny how these places tick. I ordered a ticket for the wife and the ticket hasn't arrived, but what can only be described as a book of events at all the msv sites has!

I know that but I would put everything in the same envelope (saving the planet and money in the process!!)

Big bump here, last chance to get involved as I'll be submitting tomorrow for tickets for cars and drivers people.

Replied.

Dave, I'd give msv a call just incase they think there was a ticket in your envelope with publicity stuff though if you've bought tickets in previous years it could just be a coincidence that this arrived after you'd booked, arse and elbow scenario

So long as the petrol headedness has an element of resin involved (just imagine learning to drive in a small sports on the beautiful mon!)

Nice to meet you there and thanks again for the bacon buttie and slice of lemon drizzle cake - very nice.

The racing was good and it was nice to see the plastic TVR's beating the E-type Jaguars on the track.
Does anyone know if they were running tuned essex engines as they sounded "weird" as they screamed by lol

I would suspect seriously tuned essex engines would be in use at that level of competition

Judging by the entry lists, it depends which race you were talking about - there were two races on Sunday which involved TVRs and Jaguar E-Types:

Race 8 (70s Roadsports) where they were TVR 3000Ms, which would be Essex-engined (albeit, as Mike says, pretty highly tuned! :) )

or Race 3 (Guards Trophy GT cars) where they were TVR Griffiths, so Ford 4.7 litre V8s - quite a different kettle of noise!

[edit - I've now found the results, and from those I would guess that it was Race 3 (where the TVRs finished 1-2-3 with E-types 4, 5, & 9), that you were talking about?]
