E-Type for Christmas

Post by *JP* » Tue Oct 25, 2016 9:06 pm

As a young man I was lucky enough to own two,a '62 3.8 FHC and a '69 4.2 2+2.The first cost £650,the other about £1500.
The early one was by far the better car.
Now,given the current sky-high values I never thought I would have one again, but the wife has agreed to buy this as a Christmas gift:

...anyway I'm happy enough with this :) ...pity they don't do Scimitar ones!

Good idea, though it'd get extra points if it used the same kind of push button for adjusting it as the clock in the cars did :)

I got mine for Christmas Day 1990 ('69 4.2 2+2) "the not so good one" still got it but don't have that watch.
However, I've been promised some sparkly bits from Martin Robey etc at next months NEC show.
Providing I don't spend all my birthday money on 404.
