They are high, but those engines are good for 100's of 1000's of miles. You'd get a lower mileage one if you went for petrol.

Personally I'd buy a leggy VW over an average mileage Pug/Ford/Citroen/Fiat/Renault any day of the week. The build quality is so much better, which is why they hold their value.

Current:- SS1 Ti RG sprint car, Honda S2000, VW Touareg 3.0 V6
Prev:- Sabre Ti, 3xSS1 Ti, SS1 16v Turbo Racer, 5XGTC, 2XSE6B, 2XSE5A, 2XV6 Coupe, Sabre 6

Bought an 8 year old 307 CC HdI spotless except for slightly scabby alloys.

64K miles, full service history. Everything working (for now lol). Spare wheel never been on the vehicle.

Collect it tomorrow.

Tax it November then see if I have made a mistake.

I think you did not. Any PSA car is very good. They just do built very bad cars. Most of those disapear after a few years as parts donor. It is hard to find a PSA lemon older than 5 years.
