And to record it in the right place, add me! I purchased a2003 Lotus Elise 111S locally a couple of months ago. Just got it through MoT about 10 days ago, so starting to have fun now.

I have a 1994 Esprit S4. This has the 2.2 16 valve 4 cylinder turbo engine with delco EFI and an air:water chargecooler system. It's rated at 265bhp with 285bhp delivered for short (30 second) increments of overboost. When you work it hard, it is shockingly fast, although there isn't usually enough road for it.

I tend to run it on the road for a couple of years, then something goes wrong that means it goes into hibernation for a couple of years of "getting round to it", and so on. At the moment it is awaiting new power steering pipes and an exhaust manifold leak (couple of studs fell out.... bizarre.... I replaced them but it still leaks, then one of them broke).

Everything about working on them is difficult - access, silly bits of design etc. but it still looks amazing even at 20 years old.

1976 RHD Elite 501, converted to Rover SD1 V8 with matching autobox. Springsystem uprated to hydragas giving a very smooth ride combined with the phenomenal Lotus road behaviour. Great fun!
