Something like this: eBay 232628878957.

(...and not the Oman mob?......) :)
I'd have scrapped that one  Not much of it left.

Wouldn't give it house-room myself....... :D ( but it looks the sort of thing we were talking about at that time (fire pumps), I think.)

or fire brigade enthusiast (yes they do exist).
Funnily enough, I do know a fire brigade enthusiast through Southern Classics. He has at least two, a Land Rover and a Dennis, in rare Sussex Yellow :D

If the engine does go to someone, I could really do with the electronic ignition/loom from it for mine after someone hacked the hell out of it :(

Cam profile is different. Basically meant to produce peak power and torque at 3k rpm.

Whatcha want for it? Make a good conversation peice...
I read that as “watcha want it for”...... ooops.

Open to offers by PM, if anyone really wants it. I was thinking about rebuilding the engine with my lads, for something to do and to give them a bit of mechanical education. I’ve actually got two to play with, the other one is Honda powered, so we could always rebuild that one.

You must not run the pump without the actual pump end being connected to water though. Angus told me anything more than a minute and the seals would be destroyed due to being run dry.

Simple answer to me was I removed the clutch driven plate :)

Yes you’re correct. The other thing people forget (firefighters included), is that the pumped water is also used as cooling. I’ve seen these pumps sat idling and then boiling over.

Yup, in the form of a heat exchanger. I only run mine for short periods :)

Well after a couple of days playing about with this pump and not working on the SS1 as I should be (I'm so easily distracted  ). I finally got it to start up and run. The fuelling system was properly gummed up, as was the fuel tank. Some of the wiring had been messed with (ie. spade connectors pulled off and put back in the wrong places).
