GT Rear Window

Post by Jefneefs » Wed Jul 18, 2018 6:05 pm

Hi
A Sabra owner in Austria found a man (in Hungary) who would be willing to make copies of the rear window of a GT.
Seem to remember that they were only replaced in some plexi stuff when broken.
What do the racers in UK do when they break a rear window???
Would it be worth the effort of having a - some - rear windows copied?
No idea of the specifications of that window, and would hardly understand I guess; gues they were not laminated like the frontscreen windows.
Regards

Good news
Robert Jandl, the Austrian owner, seems to have removed his rear window.
As it will take some time before he'll be reassembling the car again, he could as well send his window up to Hungary to have some copies made.
Good to know that there's copies left.
I'll inform Robert.

Thanks

Just to be sure?
With the possibility to make some extra??
Just - coïncidentally - got a question from another owner who in fact wants to replace his headlining, but is scared that the windows would break while removing.

None needed for now, but good to know if they would stay reproducible.

Were they reproduced bij Ricky Evans?

Hi

Contacted Ricky Evans: he's very willing to make the rear windows but he hasn't made them. Ever.
So where a the spares, where to buy, at what price.
If they are hidden somewhere and not for sale I'll try to support the Austrian man to have them replicated and sell to anyone who needs them.
I'm not interested at all because I have a convertible, but I'm trying to support anyone anywhere to have obsolete parts remade, at anyones disposal.
