Oldie but a goody... Angouleme 2006

Post by chrisgallacher » Mon Oct 17, 2016 2:33 pm

Yes, yes - I know this has been posted before but it's a great 6 minutes of action and always worth another look: link

The TVR Grantura has the cornering agility but Mark Jordan's Sabre Six has the power advantage on the straight. Great dice.

Brilliant! Shame about the bump at the finish.

We had our baptism seeing the 'Remparts' last year and were down there again this year. Great event and seeing it from a drivers perspective in this clip is excellent.

Having spoken to Mark about 6 months after the event, my understanding of what happened at the end was that he just lost out to the TVR right at the end, because his brakes had gone away. They crossed the finish line nose to tail, and then almost immediately a marshal appeared with a flag, waving them off the track. The TVR braked, and Mark, to his dismay, couldn't stop so ran into the TVR (and they were lucky not to collect the marshal too).
