A happy New Year to all Sabre owners and lovers.
We spent New Year's Day at Brooklands. The car parks were packed to overflowing with an interesting mix of veteran, vintage and classic cars. The weather stayed fine though cold and we drove the Prototype top down, a 70 mile round trip for us.
Our favourite car of the meeting was the Cisitalia 202MM, a fabulous design for a 1947 car. Somewhat different but also of interest to us was an EB 50, a c1960 Ford special. EB also made the EB Debonair in the early 1960s, a car that used the same Ballamy chassis as our Prototype. We also saw three other Scimitars in the car park and bumped into Richard Carter.
