Weber 40 DCOE Carbs

Hi there ,which model Weber 40 DCOE do I use on the Mk1 Zeyphr 6 engined Saber with the Raymond Mays head ? Any help would be welcome thank Harry

I thought all 40 DCOE webers were interchangeable - chokes/jets etc would need to suit the application.

Dellorto DHLA 40 should also be interchangeable.


MR2 and Beemer 3 series, currently no Scim!

Hope this info is still useful, only a year late!!
My Six has two 40DCOE18 and one 40DCOE31 fitted!!
The accelerator pump rod length is the difference, but these can be changed, so I assume (but I haven't investigated this yet!) whoever fitted the carbs changed the rods so they are all the same. I've checked the progression holes and these are the same in both carbs, so the bodies are (in principle) interchangeable.
Then of course you'll need to get the appropriate jets etc.
