Bonnet and Boot Catches

Post by HowieZowie » Sun Mar 22, 2020 9:03 am

Can anyone post some photos of the bonnet and boot catches (fitted) for a '68 V6 ? I have a selection of catches in a box that came with my Coupe - the down-side of not dismantling oneself.... Many thanks

Got the boot sorted so only looking for bonnet pics. It’s the part that fits to the bonnet itself that is confusing me 😏

Thanks Peter - that is pretty straight forward 🙂. Is there a secondary “safety” catch when bonnet release is pulled?

Should have cleaned it up a bit before taking photos - however photos taken from the engine side and two combined to give the view from above and from a angle to show what the release looks like and a arrow added to show the direction you need to operate it.

You are a star! I’ll look at the bits I’ve got and see if I can make something that looks similar 😀. Cheers
