7HA LSD

Post by stevmale » Sun Feb 03, 2019 11:14 am

Before I start will the internals of a 4HA with a LSD fit inside a 7HA.

If not can a LSD be obtained that will fit in a 7HA and how much will it cost.

or is a axle swop the only option to a 7HA from a 5a .into the coupe.

Regards
Steve

I bought one from Quaife for my 4HA, they likely sell them for the 4HA and they are around £1000

LSD are in race Coupe with a 7HA but can be fragile .
A 4HA can be fitted but ALL the pick up points need altering and the axle case will run very close to the boot floor and petrol tank .
Also factor in the extra weight .
Check out Lemon Slice for the conversion

Yes but if you lowered the car too far the boot floor suffered

So how did you narrow the 4HA axle , if for a road car then if not too low it’s not a problem .so please tell all .
From my days with Daimler Darts when the 7HA axle went they fitted Jag axles and same problem was with them the sheer bulk off the axle could hit the floor .

Speak to Quaife or Gripper: https://gripperlsd.com/product/salisbury-7ha/
Will cost you £1,300+ unless you can negotiate.....

Probably cheaper than a 4HA install.

NTDWM but the Morgan axle repairers are:
http://jb-engineering.co.uk/
and their website usually has stuff about 7HA etc.
Hope this helps;
Cheers,
