Access panels

I am in the process of stripping my coupe prior to removing the body and come across some access panels in the wheel arch both sides....Only small 2 are for getting behind the front lights the other 2 are opposite gives access to behind footwell but not sure what for or why,,,, any ideas.....john

Both are actually noted as item 23 in the coupe parts manual as inspection panels

my s6 and v6 has them.... although the covers are missing on the V6......
