I don't actually know anything about the Accuspark, but from your picture, is it possible the hole in the Accuspark baseplate is supposed to slot over the brass stud (contact breaker pivot)?

There's only two kits available for the Scimitar
Depending on if you have Motorcraft or Bosch Dizzy.

Problem is if you can get the pin out can you refit it should you need to refit the points.

Enlarge the end hole in the Accuspark unit. Your picture suggests the hole you are using isn't the right one.

The wrong base plate, my powersparks, (essentially the same unit) had the same issue, powersparks kindly provided an alternative base plate FOC to me, try asking accuspark for the same thing

Doesn't look like a Motorcraft or Bosch dizzy, so doubt either of the usual 2 types of fitting kit would work.

Could it be an early Lucas dizzy?
