Door quarter vent windows

Post by mermar74 » Wed Feb 22, 2017 11:28 am

I wish to know for certain if Coupe and SE5 door quarter vent windows are the same and totally interchangeable as I am chasing a pair (left and right) for my Coupe build. The condition of glass, lower pivot stud and chrome are not important, but all else must be in very good condition. Please let me know if you can help find these.

Hi Victor,
the Coupe, SE5 & SE5a opening quarter vent windows are all the same, except the handle on the Coupe & some SE5 is more tapered & slightly longer.
I have a 1 complete Coupe NOS passenger side unit available in perfect condition. Please PM me if interested.

If I recall the eyelet and pin are slightly different between models but otherwise the triangular frame and glass is the same

My driver's door quarter light handle has sheered and broken. (s/6 coupe)
How easy are the to replace? - what have others done in this situation?

It's fiddly but can be done in situ
Undo the nut under the spring swivel pivot and remove the pivot on the door frame and ease it out
You may damage the quarter light seal though
