As incoming registration forms have dried up a bit, I thought a cheeky bump might help ;)

Thanks Phil, they'll be on the site next update!
Like the colour, ride height looks a bit exaggerated or is it just mine that's too low?!
I see the pics are from 2006, is it still in the same condition?
Looks like a solid project, have fun,

methinks it's just the camera date out of sync chris, at 20 past nine on either January 5th or May 1st it'd be dark by then :P

Ah, thankfully my camera is automatic, I wouldn't have a clue how to set the date!
Luckily I am a bit more handy with the car.

Hello Matt,

I've just bought my Coupé and taken her over to France, so here are her details:

Registration: PHO252G
Chassis: 425086
Engine: SA42136
Engine size: 3.1
Colour: White
Year: December 68

She started life as an Se4 C I believe, but since the mid seventies she's had a 3.1 Essex built by Specialized Engines in her. She was also resprayed White around that time. Does anyone have an idea what that V6 with an SA engine number would originaly have been destined for?
I'm going to get her registered here in France, so I'll send through a registration form and some photos once she's on French plates.

Best regards,
James Mason

hi all
I am in South Australia
the SE4 b i am restoring has chassis #400962 and engine #sc1159 ( which is still the engine in it )
tha car came new to Adelaide in 1969 , we have a photo of it and another one being delivered to the dealer here.
my questions are
with this chassis # it must have been near the end of this model ????
on the chassis plate is also stamped 9f11--- does anyone know what that refers to ???
the resoration is nearing completion --- some photos to follow
cheers --- from Australia

According to Don Pither's book The Scimitar and its Forebears. The last 4b was SC400974 with engine SC400991 Nov 1970. Although chassis would be consecutive in production, engines unlikely. Stock control would not be like a supermarket!!! No idea about 9f11

Could 9f11 be some kind of date, as used later on the 6-series? e.g. 9f might be "June 1969". "11" might be a sequence number, or perhaps, as later, a paint code? (11 = olympic blue in TSAIF). All just idle speculation though! :)

It would be interesting to see a scan of that photo if you could manage it please :D
