Carpets

Mine are looking pretty tatty so am thinking of changing. Does anyone do a set? Alternatively can a 5 set be easily converted? Otherwise I can cut to fit.

Any experience of sound deadening/heat insulation under the carpets.?

Nick, currently going through the same process and will be using under the car over the exhausts Thermoguard FR shiny side towards the heat they told me hence the under car fitment, then inside I'm using Dodomat inside the car with the thermoguard below over the transmission tunnel and heater box area as well as using the dodomat to replace the crumbly insulation in the dash area, on my white coupe I also placed a layer of genric wool type over the behind dash area which I found made a big difference.
When I get to do the carpets I'm intending making up a set of patterns for members to borrow.

I raised a question with Dodomat here's their reply:
Hi Mike,

The best product to use for noise reduction would be the Dodo Sound Stopper Lite. This contains the important MLV barrier which can block the full range of frequencies. This is sandwiched between 2 layers of acoustic foam to absorb the mid-high range frequencies.

This product is flexible and can be easily applied all over (except the roof) using a contact spray adhesive, such as Dodo Adhesive. Focus on the floor, footwells, transmission tunnel and boot area to reduce the noises you describe.

A 100% coverage will also help with heat transfer.

https://www.deadening.co.uk/products/do ... opper-lite

https://www.deadening.co.uk/products/do ... p-adhesive

If this is overbudget, then I would suggest Dodo Pro Barrier (£5 per sheet less) or the MLV barrier on it's own.

Kind Regards,
Matt,

Dodo Mat

Via the email facility in this forum. I'll try a PM but had problems with it in the past.
