Re: Lake District (South) Noggin - welcome & introduction
Welcome everyone
My name is Dave Clarke and together with Geoff Newcombe I assist in the Noggin and promote what we do.
Folks the South Lakes Noggin is very alive and well and over the years has stuck around the south area of the Lake District National Park.
They have been around a number of pubs and places and can trace their move away from the other Lancashire Noggin at Myerscough in around 1995.
The Noggin members have a variety of scimitars with at least 3 Middlebridges including HRH princess Annes MB Prototype, 2 x V8 Se5a's a V8 GTC and a John Wade prepared SE5a. Quite a collection.
We are definately a drive it Noggin and will usually go out on a couple of Sundays a month around an area that we think will have great roads to do a bit of "Driving" on. Well the rest do as I am called "Captain Slow" and always stay at the back!!!!
We attend a number of shows which I have listed on the High Peak Noggin Calender as Matt did such a good job it seemed a shame to duplicate it.
The main message I want to get across is that we meet on the third Tuesday of the month at the Bluebell Hotel at Heversham, see first entry for details.
We always have at least 9-12 members present and as the weather improves and the Scimitars come out of hibernation we can get a good gathering in the car park.
If you are interested please email me privately and we can arrange a meet.
We exist to promote our cars, have a good laugh, meet new people and genuinely look forward to seeing new members. Even if you are not a member of the club yet come and see us at the next Noggin which will be on Tuesday 15th June 2010.
Thanks for reading
