High Peak Noggin - welcome & introduction

Post by ScimitarMatt » Sat Apr 24, 2010 9:10 pm

Woohoo, I'm the first to post in this new section, cheers to the webteam for setting it up.
The High Peak Noggin meets every first tuesday of the month in the Olde Pack Horse in Chapel en le Frith, Derbyshire from about 8 to 8:30pm.

Details of how to find the pub are here:

Postcode for the satnav is SK23 0NT, the pub is on a little one way bit, come off the moor and into Chapel to the roundabout where Ferodo is, rather than go left onto the A6, go straight on up a road with humps on it and parked cars on the right hand side.

At the top there is a little garage on the right by a junction, the pub is 50 yards further on, on the right hand side

the map below may help too, the front of the pub is on Market Street but we park in the rear carpark

We are a very informal bunch with a love of all things Scimitar and have among our noggin a few SE4 coupes, some SE5 series cars, some SE6 series cars, some GTC's and a couple of SS series scimitars so we're well used to all the fun they can bring (and the little tantrums they sometimes throw)

We are always looking to welcome new scimitar owners from around the Manchester and Cheshire areas and can even offer new owners the chance to join the club at a discounted rate if they join at a noggin evening.

Over the next few months, discussions will be held to see how the noggin will grow and this may include a change of venue or even a change of regular meeting night so please watch this space for updates (current members will be emailed well in advance of any planned changes)

In 2010 we aim to have a strong presence at the local and national shows (Tatton Park, Curborough and the NEC) and we are planning on having a few Sundays out with a nice drive and pub lunch to try and encourage a few more wives, girlfriends and family to join in with us (it's not all about combing our beards, ironing our cardigans and polishing our trunnions you know  )

Hopefully you'll come along and join in the noggin and help us to become an excellent source of friendship, technical help (sometimes sympathy when that seized nut rounds off) and good company that the noggins are all about

see you all soon, Matt
