Unlike the current location this does food should people feel a bit peckish
It's a 10 minute cross country walk or the no 190 bus or better still you could always drive there and use the handily placed parking area
If you go to their website and sign up you can get a free drink

There is always the Shepherds in Whaley Bridge, My mates & I used to go there when we went camping in Edale. Probably changed these days. The main benefit was at closing time. Towels on the pumps, curtains drawn, door locked and then carry on drinking as normal woohey.
Another thing I remember although not eaten was passing a chippy proudly displaying a banner 'cooked in real lard' :D :barf:
eee they were 't days

No need to apologise!, we knew we had arrived in the good country. We eulogised over the sight. Now here is some research for you. It was at a complex junction - been looking at street view - could have been the junc of B5470 and A5004. It was a loooooooooooong time ago though. We would go from Edale through Chapel and on to Whaley to the Shepherds Arms. OMG 40 years.

That's the pub I know where that is. The mystery is our 'famous' lard chippy spotted en-route to pub. Must be gone by now. Fire or slid down the gutter!!!!!!!! Someone v.old from the area might know.

We did try to fatten Josh up for you to slow him down a tad but he refused them, even when Speedy pinned him to the floor he still wouldn't eat any
And Speedy said you would like the lead based paint he used on your car Steve C
