High Peak Noggin Xmas Quiz 2012

Post by ScimmyMike » Thu Nov 29, 2012 11:05 am

Yes, once again we will be having a Xmas quiz on the 4th December 2012 as a bit of something a bit different to the usual Noggin night,so anyone in the area is more than welcome to join us as we start to get festive for Xmas.

We have also decided to change January's Noggin Night to the 2nd Tuesday in the month which is the 8th as we thought people might have family things going on on the 1st

Yes Mike but not in the GTE yet :) I will ask my brother if he is busy and fancies a run out, that's why I asked about a meal as it will cost me  It is about time I made it over seeing as it is the most local active noggin, I have been a member for about 4 years so well overdue me thinks. Usual disclaimers apply ie well enough and I can get a lift

Well if you are coming over Bob the pub itself doesn't serve food as far as I am aware but there is an excellent one just up the road at the A6 junction called the Fallow Deer which Matt and a few others have eaten in, if you're going to eat there let me know and I'll join you before Noggin (they have a 2 main meals for a tenner deal, might bring the wife to soften her up so I can tell her about the S6 :D )

What time does the noggin start? I would need to work out what time to set off if he can go and wants a meal.

Noggin doesn't really have a start time, people arrive when they want. People start getting there at about 8 I think

Well the evening seemed to go quite well despite (for us) a low attendance, people working, baby's crying and a broken leg seemingly put paid to at least 4 regulars, pleased to hear that Kevins on the mend now and will be joining us for the xmas meal in a couple of weeks time.

Anyhow, it would seem that the quiz may have been a bit too hard for the collective Noggins brains for that time of night with it being won with a massive 38/72, congratulations go to Brian Calvers other half, (hope she shared the Rose with you  )

It seemed okay to me when I was compiling but that was with the benefit od knowing what the answers were at the time :W

I'll put a selection of questions up on here over the next few weeks, let's see how you manage to do with it, (Googling not allowed)
Mike
