Chassis number too badly rusted to make out

Post by rhss1 » Sat Sep 01, 2018 1:08 pm

Fortunately the rest of it is not too bad except for the sill.

The car is a 1600 with a non-galvanised chassis and only mounts for the cvh engine. The front upper wishbones have no triangulation.

I have the number from the aluminium plate, it ends in 0204.

What chassis (i.e. pre-post 104) do I have - or is there a way to tell by looking?

Yes BMG...

Pics would show a frame stripped of all except the engine and wheels etcetera, body parts hung on the walls and in the loft of the garage, and the tub on a wooden trolley made to lift and remove it (did it alone).

Still want them?

What else is in the club database?

Ha, I have plenty of those in my own workshop :D do you not have any pre-strip photos?

Contact the small sports registrar Mike (SS1.registrar@rssoc.co.uk) as I’m sure he’d love an update on owner details - I’m building a database of small sports photos along with Mike and the previous two registrars (Phil & Phillip).
