Can someone tell me if the SS1 headlamps are specific to the car or are they a parts bin special?

td99 got a significant improvement on his by simply fitting relays to the dipped beam circuit.

I also fitted Bi-Xenon lamps but that was an incredible fiddle due to headlamp movement. LED woud be much more attractive now.
