Happy New Year!!

Post by alarmman49 » Sun Dec 31, 2017 6:06 pm

HI everyone,

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you who replied to my sometimes stupid posts on this forum. I am in my defence a new (now older and slightly wiser thanks to you) owner of a Scimitar SS1 which I still love to bits.

My final query of the year is.................... do I need to keep all of my AF spanners etc which I gathered over a period of years whilst owning a Triumph Spitife 1500? It seems that the Scimitar uses millimetre size spanners and torx bolts? If this is the case I can swap all the AF stuff in my tool roll for millimetre. Can someone confirm this..........

Thanks in advance for any replies and have a great 2018!!

Being Reliant, the odd bit of AF snuck in but unless you’re intending removing the front dampers or seatbelts any time soon, I think metric spanners will see you through..

Happy New Year to you too!

You’ll need them for when you get a GTE to go with your small sports :)

Happy new year.

Happy New Year to you too! :D

and yes, the spanners I normally carry in the SS1 are metric (though you can never have too many tools, so I'd certainly keep the imperial ones at home, just in case something turns up! )
