H7SST was put on the car in the late 90's by a PO. Richard still has the registration on retention, if anyone would like to purchase same? I think it got back its original reg when Fred took it to France, see what his V5 says.

Cheers Fred

There are a few combinations of DVLA names out there from Scimitar SST, Scimitar, Scimitar 1800ti, SST, which is very confusing to record compilers at insurance companies and dvla .
You snatched this car from me when I was looking for an SST and would still have the SST reg IF I had got it from AJL`s friend.

I believe it did not have a private number but was actually registered as H7SST when new?, will check this out but I think Glynis and Frank Tweddle owned it.
Sorry mate that I snatched this one :? ... it could probably have kept its plate if it stayed in the UK indeed.

Not sure whether H7 SST was its original number :?: I cannot tell, I assumed that they were private plates since Andy asked me to keep them ...
which I agreed since I could not do anything with them in France anyway. What we did is that Richard applied for a retention certificate for
H7 SST and obtained a new number plate - H 640 FKV - and new V5 for the SST ... which is the registration that I then used for the transfer to french reg'.

I have no history logs with the car, so I cannot confirm who were the previous owners ... except for the last two owners of course:
from 08-feb-2013 to 28-feb-2014 the car belonged to Jake Smout (Redditch)
from 28-feb-2014 to 18-oct-2016 it belonged to Richard Green (Gloucester) who works at AJL
I understood from Andy, that the car previously belonged to himself or Richard - not sure - and was sold to Jake in 2013, then bought back again ...
NB. the V5 only indicates "No of former keepers: 10" ... and that's about all I know from its past.
Hopefully the registrar may fill in some blanks

Btw, the V5 says "Scimitar Ti" as the model (D.3) for this one ... and the 1st registration was on 01-aug-1990

Hope this may help Mark with his investigation work !
Cheers,
Fred

Geraint I believe the basic history was compiled many years ago by a previous registrar and they have been altered/filled in/added to over the years.
Did not know you owned an SST as this was the model I was researching??.

Unless you have #03, OR #16 which were registered as SS1 OR #31 or the ex GW #43, &#78 which were registered as SABRE

Would you like to PM me with your chassis number and I can tell you what the records say?.

Mark

Geraint, I recall speaking with you over your SABRE at the time I was running the register. But given the chassis number I had concluded it was a (factory) converted "SST" and most likely the maroon one from the '92 Motorshow display stand.

No idea what's logged on the register (now) though, but the above from Jim is a very stripped down list lacking the finer details.

Hello Ritchie

Interesting to see an SST living way down under
moreover this is THE true SST #13  ... now that I have discovered that mine is in fact SST #14 - with body #13 ! -
out of curiosity, which body number is your car then :?:

Greetings from rainy (french) Avon

Chassis 13 as above now with Ritchie "scimitar79"
Found further details from previous conversation about the car and it wears body plate "SST 15"

Another one that's post factory history could cause a red herring.

Now wears a seemingly modified "Sabre MK1.5" front bumper with neatly shortened chin spoiler.

I can think of several examples of modified and re-coloured bumpers. One day I'll own an SST (had everything else!) and then we'll see how the black bumper look can be made to work 8)
