Yes, I would still be interested, although Gottfried says they are Golf GTI based?

I do really like these little bits of SS1 history :)

I had a quick look at the Brembo and Pagid online catalogues yesterday but couldn’t see a VW disc that fitted the bill?

Mk1 Golf were all 239mm (solid or vented). Mk2 & Mk3 were 239mm, 256mm or 280mm for various models but only seem to be 38mm height?

Possible candidates: https://www.bremboparts.com/europe/en/c ... rance=True

All will need some sort of machining adjustment, specifically the centre bore and possibly the mounting holes.

Had a quick look under the Porsche 911SC, they are vented disks, but the dust shields are in the way so I couldn't photograph them.
The book says they are 290.0 mm dia., 20.0 mm thick, can be machined down to 18.6 mm and the wear limit is 18.0 mm
Hope this helps.

Thank you for all of your assistance. I'll measure the disc thickness and bell (or whatever it is called on a single piece disc) tomorrow. Clearly they've been fairly heavily modified because the rear side is much thinner (visible on the photos). Sadly, I only have one of the odd bolts (They have a sort of sleeve)...

Off the shelf Rover discs I use, no buggering about drilling holes or skimming anything off the braking faces.

Mark, do the Rover discs literally bolt straight on? If so what’s the OD?

Looking for something IRo 250 - 270mm

Not at home till the morning Steve, will get the stats then for you.
The bolt PCD is exactly the same as Scimitar, the OD needs reducing to fit the Lockheed calipers, a lip needs removing and the bore opening a bit.
About an hours machining and they bolt straight on.
Got plenty in stock if you need them to fit Reliant hubs?.

Cheers Mark. I’m using a 250mm Mazda 626 vented disc at the moment, but ideally I could with with another 5-10mm of OD to suit the Wilwood calipers I’m using. These are the discs you made me some spacers for.

I bought a ventilated kit from Mark - fitted will little trouble and works as well as anything else around. Disc holes a bit large but I fixed that with a bit of tube which I cut to length to fill the gap between bolt and disc.

This is for my sprint car Peter. I need a larger disc OD than is possible with the Metro Turbo calipers/GW conversion. I'm running 250mm at the moment which are just about big enough, but there is 1mm of overlap from the pads, which my OCD doesn't like, hence wanting a few more mm of disc. If Mark's discs start out at 255mm or more before he turns them down, then that could work. Darryl had some made that will fit the bill also. But there's no rush, as these are working perfectly well and are without doubt the best I've had on any of the small sports I've driven or raced.

Marks kit uses the metro turbo size of calliper - keeps the cost down and I don't expect to do any sprints or hill climbs. What boost/bhp are you running at Corky. I have had your old SS1 up to 210 bhp - currently settled for 160 for road use same as the Sabre.
