Spotted pics of this mx5 with GT hardtop and it looks gorgeous! Anyone know how close an mx5 and ss1 roof are in dimensions?

Often wondered about such a hardtop on an SS1. Somewhere i have idle sketches of such an idea. Picture It looking more like a TVR Tasmin though.

Yea, I was thinking BMW 8 series when I saw it Greeny.

I really like these fast back hard tops.

My favourite...

m m m m not sure about the purple one's ground clearance or the tyre life with that camber angle !

Like RR I did have a sketch somewhere of an SSE (that's estate or SSV that's van)
kinda use the inspiration of the GTE and move window aft two feet and continue slope of boot lid ?

Nice concept, you'd only get little malt loaves in 'em, not the full fat hovis!

About 100 years ago I had an MG Midget and fitted an Ashley hardtop.

I presume you can't actually drive it like that - you presumably have to first pump up the suspension so it returns to normality?

I agree the overall shape looks good - on the "nothing new under the sun" theme, the first thing I thought of were the Elan Coupes that a couple of people did "back in the day", in particular Ian Walker Racing (IWR), who I see are going to build a small run of recreations.
