Yes Gavin, exactly what I need, provided that JIC thread is compatible with UNF, ie: 7/16X20 tpi ?

They’re compatible but a slightly different thread profile, so JIC won’t seal in UNF (hence the need for the sealing washer).

Why not cut the GW hose and put the correct compression fitting on the end? The chances are that the GW hose is -3 or -4.

So, job done using the adaptor from Rallydesign, with an excellent result. Pedal travel is slightly shorter than before, but not obviously heavier, and the bite point and take-up are just how I like it. Thanks everybody for your suggestions! :D
