Yep - that's about what I'd do to a Kitten - replace the chassis, cooling system, fuel system, engine, gearbox, propshaft, back axle, suspension and brakes :-)

Liking the use of Chevette uprights though

That's mental. Fantastic piece of work though. Reminds me of some of the Sukuzi Capuccino / Daihatsu Copen bike engined specials but with much more grin factor....

There was a 4 car kitten shoot out in a more recent mag IIRC

pop over to the retro-rides forum and see what froggy is up to with his current incarnation :D

Not forgetting the original hot kitten - courtesy of the Beardmore brothers

The Beadmore bros are still alive and kicking, I believe...I might even have somewhere the CCC issue where it didn't run at their "Car of the Year" competition (due to routing of brake and fuel lines?) around 1990?

I used to bump into John at 3 Sisters a lot. We used to pit next to each other. He was spanner man for Phil 'not even remotely at 6'6' Short with his Mini miglia.
Phil, by the way, was a world champion rally co-driver, also sat alongside Dai Llewellyn, managed Audi Sport team and is a current consultant for WRC teams.

YES! I remember reading that in CCC - I was 14 then!

Thanks for that Craig, its impressively well turned out! wonder where it is now?
still on their website: http://www.djm-motorsport.co.uk/Kitten.html

The more recent shoot was PPC, with a yellow cossie powerd car, a duratech car, froggys bike engined car, and steves 850 turbo kitten - which later got a fiat fire engine. Steve and froggy both asked me to come along - but mines in bits! its a shame, as I would have been supporting the N/A 850 reliant engine, with its ex-single seater engine with a 9000rpm red line! :)

Yellow cossie version is Ian Oddies. I raced model nitro cars against him 25 years ago! He's subsequently been British. And European Large scale (1/6th and 1/5th scale) champ. Boys and their toys eh? Ian had the cossie lump in a Dutton before the kitten
