Come up again, wonder whether this is the same seller with different ID or whether he's used the same photo.

I've had a chat with him, seems like a nice guy and has a Scim and a major 3 wheeler fetish. With my GTi ending a couple of days before this I fancy a pop.

Be interested to see state of chassis and brakes, if it really is close. But would only be a very speculative purchase so wouldn't go much bigger on the current bid.

If it doesn't go up much in the next couple of days I'll arrange to go have a look mid/late next week.

Thanks, only if it's not too much hassle.

Just. Be to see it. He also has a kitten which is missing its engine but apart from that looked good for its age. Going on eBay soon apparently.

Yeah so a very wise young head once told me to 'not fall into the trap of multiple projects'.....so I ignored him. Very excited to have put a deal together on this little beaut (to be). Odd that the 2700 feedback high bidder hasn't completed the purchase and I would normally walk away but it seems honest value and Steve's feedback was really helpful in the decision. I've been hounding him the whole time since I missed the auction but couldn't commit to anything until I sold my Golf, which has gone tonight so very happy.
He's going to have it starting, running and stopping for an all inclusive price and I will pick it up at that point hopefully in a couple of weeks or so (still on a trailer though obviously). I'm hoping that it can be my blank canvas to learn some bodywork stuff on without fear of trashing it, knowing I can always move it on if it becomes too much at circa what I'll pay for it.

The SS1 is going to keep me busy for the foreseeable on the mechanical side and I still need to get my 6 through it's starting issues so it'll be all hands on deck but very fun in the process.

Project thread to follow in due course.
