OK, anyone on here own up to buying the Kitten prototype from Ebay (item No. 180485436608) I was quite surprised it reached £1559!

We did bid went up to £1509, but got out bid in last second :(

Not really a prototype more of a development car as it was basically a 1976 Kitten with a modified front and rear

The person who had the winning bid returned the mk2 back to Partsworld after a court case for miss representation (sold as if it was new). It eventually was sold to a couple in Tamworth who realised there was more to do than they had the skills for. I acquired the car along with a friend and between us we spent the winter/spring/summer 2017 slowly going over it and replacing the items missing. Still working progress but in July 2017 it was put on the road and its first outing was to LLangollen for the Reliant Kitten Registers weekend.

Your Honour, I am sure my learned friend will not seriously expect the Court to believe, that after so many changes and modifications to this vehicle the plaintiff my client can really be expected to accept it as the genuine Old Number [Mark] Two....

If your doubting its authenticity well there are including Littlechicken above and Brian Marshall (RKR} who viewed this vehicle on a Reliant factory visit by the Reliant owners club 30+ years ago. Also has been photographed outside Partsworld Cannock. Seen in person by Brian Marshall during rebuild and subsequently valued for insurance by the Registrar. There is no doubt that this is the same car The wheels are the ones originally fitted and photographed.

Not at all. I was just struck by the prima facie similarity with the Bentley Old Number One case that led to the demise of Middlebridge. Will Anderson (OP) will get the joke I've no doubt.

The comment did make me laugh, with the Middlebridge angle, especially as the values involved were likely worlds apart!

That doesn't detract from the work put into the car and well done on recommissioning it and getting it back on the road, great to see.

That looks rather good, well done on the restoration.
I also dislike the wheels, they seem to have a strange offset.
Is the suspension wider than a standard Kitten?

maybe just that a larger offset?
I can't see them re-working the rear axle and front wishbones (stand to be corrected)
