Rear light cluster

Post by peter » Thu Dec 27, 2018 6:40 pm

Happy Xmas to all.
I have read loads of treads regarding rear light clusters. I'm thinking of treating my self to a new set. Could anyone point me in the right direction. Atre the Bulgarian ones on eBay any good. Is there better ones on the market.
Thanks Irish Peter.

The advantage of the Bulgarian ones is that you can remove/replace the bulbs from the outside - you do need to do a bit of rework on the holes in the GRP though. You get what you pay for - some people have fitted ( circular ) LED clusters which look less like the original lamps.

These have been on about three years and are still like new, but the car only gets used a few days a year.

My se6 has a set of the cheap eBay trailer lights fitted. They were fitted by the previous owner a couple of years ago. If you look closely at my lenses you can see a few micro cracks. The lenses degrade when exposed to sunlight. I have bought a spare set & also have some LED type lights that I plan to try one day. Overall I hope to find a.more permanent longer lasting solution but will continue to use the trailer lights for now as they appear on eBay from time to time at a giveaway price & they do look good when fitted.

I have converted my original lights to led panels and the lens and lights can be removed from the outside ( i have fitted nutserts to the car and nutserts to the lights it's much easier )
