7 = 1977
L = November
43 = Arcti/Everest white
182 = RHD, PAS, Manual overdrive
03679 = sequential chassis number
5C (typo, should be SC) 12907 is the sequential engine number, not sure what 7E12 is.

Why not use the original VIN plate?

Info needed is generally just VIN and engine

VIN: 7L4318203679

Engine: SC129077

I have bought the scimitar VIN plate. The original was a home made job that was hard on the eyes. Bad effort by someone over the years. When I get a chance I have to look for the markings on the chassis. That will take some sanding. Always great full for your help.

If it looks like it was engraved by a 3 year old impersonating a drunken spider, then that’s the original factory engraving..

This is an SE6 VIN plate (used by GW on a mk2 Sabre and stamped rather than the Reliant drunken etching)

There are other SE6 in Ireland and I haven’t heard of this problem before? The Dutch insist on an additional plate because it doesn’t have something on (axle weights?)
