Scimitar Se6B and GTC Door Hinges

Post by Rob Jones » Sun May 20, 2018 1:37 pm

Good afternoon All,
Does anybody know if the door hinges for the 6b and GTC should have any friction restraint.
I have changed both bottom stays and the pins on my car, the drivers door stays open beautifully, The drivers door however, this opens, seems to latch then just swings back onto your bruised legs, from previous openings and alightings.
The door seems to extend when the lower latch is in place, would this suggest the drivers door hinges are stressed???
Any assistance greatly appreciated, also, are the hinges difficult to replace, and are they available new??
Kind regards
Rob.

Rob, the hinges themselves don't there should be a restraint unit under the bottom of the door that's connected to the sill inside the door opening, from memory should be a pin it connects to or a pin that goes into sill
