Certainly looks like it. Interestingly, the article makes no mention of Avon classics, it makes it sound home done? He's evidently unaware that GTCs still have a heated rear window switch :)

Confirmed Avon conversion in Slice 133 page 73 - mentions one other (red, so possibly John Mees?)

Rag tops I know of are:

1215 (John Mees)
1540 (not Avon - BMW electric roof)
2268 (Slice 130)
4162
5286
CJO988R (Slice 133)

Message posted here for the benefit of non RSSOC members who can't access the hidden Club pages :-
I should've posted this a while back, but just in case we have any GTC owners that haven't heard....... I'm no longer the Registrar.

For all Club GTC Register enquiries, please contact Bill Simms via gtc.registrar@rssoc.co.uk

Also, Ian if you're reading this, please could you make the change in the contacts page too ?

Cheers

Steve

There's an intriguing thread on pistonheads classic cars and yesterday s heroes section. A land owner is asking for advice on getting rid of a dumped "scimtar convertible" that has been on his land for years. You gtc chaps might be interested. Sorry can't link off my phone but it is currently the top thread there

As some will have found out in slice I am the new GTC Registrar. So on the back of that.... Another call to GTC owners if you haven't passed details for your car for a while (or if your a new owner) please send your details Eg address/reg /chassis/ any mods to the car to the GTC registrar email address. Also if you see car don't forget to pass all appropriate details on

Thanks

Dave Green
