SE6a Not Starting Only Turning Over

Post by Jc29cdo » Wed Nov 07, 2018 12:11 pm

Mike,

For the 38 DGAS I found that removing the top half of the carb was relatively straightforward. Once the air filter has been removed (4 hex key bolts) there are 6 crosshead screws that need to be removed (all located on the top of the carb) as well as the in/out fuel lines. The top half of the carb should then lift straight off, the floats are part of this assembly and lift out with the top half of the carb.

Hope this eases your concerns - it really is that easy to get the floats!

Forgot to mention that you have to VERY carefully remove a tiny little circlip that holds the choke linkage and choke valve together
